Since I have tendency to forget whatever useful thing from my brain, here be I put tweaks I usually have for Firefox:

• browser.urlbar.trimURLs: false (returns the http:// in the URL bar)
• browser.newtabpage.enabled: false (disable that stupid grid of tabs)
• network.proxy.socks_remote_dns: true (ensuring dual-stack sites are accessible)
