Who

Hello, this is edogawaconan, a random person who do various random things. Things I do usually involves anything Japan, computer-related or, well, life. I tend to avoid posting about private life apart of two first things I mentioned above so don’t hope too much finding about my personal life here (well, you actually can if you find hard enough).

What

As I mentioned above, this blog is mostly about anything Japan (or a bit more accurately, ACHGM – Anime Comic Hentai Game Music) and computer-related (Linux, *BSD, Windows, web server, etc.) topics. Sometimes I post something a bit more general like random photo.

This blog is mostly in English (or perhaps more accurately, in language resembling English) and therefore please post comments only in English. Non-English comments get deleted if I feel like to. If you don’t understand what I’m posting then the post is probably not for you or I just fail at writing.

When

Post frequency is relatively random and I basically prefer messing up the WordPress install than posting actual, useful things.

Where

This blog has been moved several times. The first url was edogawaconan.wordpress.com but then I created another blog at animebsd.co.cc because I felt like it. And then I bought a domain, myconan.net and put my blog in one of its subdirectory – myconan.net/blog. One day I moved again to blog.myconan.net. Finally, I gave in and bought a dedicated domain for this blog and this one has matching name with actual blog title – animebsd.net.

The history above is may or may not be accurate as I can only remember that much. Posts have been merged around and some pictures may have gone missing due to that. Please report me when you see something broken.

In the end – the one true way to access this blog is by URL animebsd.net. This site is accessible from IPv4 and IPv6.

I’ve also set up domains on myconan.net (myconan.net and blog.myconan.net) to redirect to the new address and to let search crawlers update their catalog properly.

Why

Mainly to confuse myself by installing and maintaining WordPress – a blogging platform running on PHP and MySQL. Those two happens to be my least favorite choice but are sadly very popular.

Apart of that, well, I need somewhere to put my random junk – anime commentaries, random photo, computer tricks, etc.

How

Um, what? I put the How subsection just to complete the 5W1H.

Anyway, if you find my post to be remotely interesting and want to copy it somewhere, feel free to as long you mention my name.

Works on this blog is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License. Any copyrighted images, etc hopefully can be put under fair use. Otherwise feel free to send complains to my mail at edho@myconan.net.

Additionally, this blog is running as a standalone blog. The server is a VPS hosted by LFCVPS running CentOS 6 (32-bit) with nginx for the web server and php-fpm for running php codes. The database server is MySQL.

Also a home of aether-subs (with me being the only member, lol). Not a fansub team (and not even a team to begin with – this might change soon though. Or not).
